First off I want to thank Josh Harrimanfor putting together this utility. The website that Josh directed me to was shnwrap.dyndns.org but it has since moved or been deleted. I did a search on the net and could not find anythingabout shnwrap but luckily I saved the TAR file and am mirroring it here for your pleasure.
What you'll need to do is to download the shnwrap file. If StuffItExpander has not already done so, extract the TAR file. Go to your home folder and create a new folder and name it bin. Move theshwrap file to this folder.
You're set! Now open a Terminal session and type shnwrap -h which willbring up shnwrap's help info. It's self explanatory, but the commands you'll need to know are shnwrap *.wav (if you're batch shortening a group of WAV files) and shnwrap -x (your shorten file's name or a wildcard) if you want to extract.
If you want to batch encode your WAV files, cd to your requested directory of WAV files and type shnwrap *.wav if you want to encode all of them, or just shnwrap (your wav file's name). The default is to shorten. Please note that you must have shorten installed in order for shnwrap to work.
